(ABOVE) "Home" (2017) is the artist's visual representation of what she considers home. Using composite imagery in Photoshop, she merged three different photographs to create a singular picture. The left side of the street is of colonial Quito, Ecuador (Moran's birthplace), the right side is of downtown Winchester, KY, while the Quechuan woman in the middle creates a perfect buffer for the images to marry into each other.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Having spent most of her life in Kentucky, Stefany Moran was an immigrant from Quito, Ecuador. After leaving her country at an early age, she used art as a means of communication and therapy. This allowed her to not only build her technical skills in the arts throughout her youth, but to also find refuge in them as well. Moran recently graduated Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in order to pursue a career in graphic design, illustration, and photography.
Moran is most commonly known for working with musicians by providing designs and imagery for their branding. While she herself is a guitarist in the band Blindside Drop, Moran is able to fully understand the needs of her clients in terms of style and content. However her wide range of services are not limited to people who can handle an instrument. Moran has worked with many people who are in need of her illustrative abilities, which is why she is open to many of the requests that come her way. With her use of various techniques and media, Stefany Moran is a provider of eye-catching imagery that is open to people of all trades.
